Freja's 52 AI detectors — how she sees what you don't
The most underrated aspect of an AI financial advisor isn't how well it answers questions — it's how well it asks them itself. Freja in AdvisorGate runs 52 pattern detectors on your real-time accounting every 24 hours, catching risks, opportunities and statutory deadlines before you see them. This article reviews all 52 detectors organised by category, explains their thresholds and when they fire.
Liquidity and cash-flow detectors (7 patterns)
This group focuses on the most time-critical risks: Overdraft usage above 80% and 50% fire as High and Medium respectively. Negative cash projection within 30 days fires as Critical — the biggest warning Freja can give. Runway under 3 or 6 months fires similarly. Plus 'ap-exceeds-cash' (payables exceed cash) and 'projected-balance-negative-30d'. Freja couples these with your other accounting data and can say: 'Your overdraft is rising while your debtors are slowing down — a pattern we should act on now.'
Profitability and budget detectors (5 patterns)
Freja scans your net margin and warns on negative (Critical) or under 5% (High). Budget variance over 20% fires in both directions. A 10-20% tier fires only when the 20% tier doesn't — avoiding duplicate insights. Finally, 'year-end-projection-negative' monitors whether your forecast year-end is negative — one of the most existential signals, triggering the crisis protocol if combined with low equity.
Debtor and customer detectors (7 patterns)
DSO over 60 days fires as High, 45-60 as Medium. Overdue AR over 20% of total is an early warning. Collection Effectiveness Index under 80% suggests broken dunning or liquidity crisis among customers. Most important: 'customer-concentration-high' and 'customer-concentration-critical' fire when a single customer is 30% or 50%+ of receivables — the biggest external risk an SME can have.
Tax and compliance detectors (6 patterns)
VAT deadline within 7 days is Critical, within 30 days High. If next VAT amount exceeds cash balance, Critical — late VAT interest is 0.7% per month (2026). 'skat-henstand-eligible' is one of Freja's most helpful detectors: when your company has under 2 months runway AND an upcoming tax bill > 50% of cash, Freja recommends formal deferment per Opkrævningsloven §15 or Kildeskatteloven §73 — a procedure many SME owners have never heard of but which can mean the difference between bankruptcy and survival.
Growth, efficiency and regulatory detectors (3 patterns)
'yoy-revenue-decline-significant' fires on YoY revenue drop > 10% as High-priority strategic signal. 'yoy-revenue-growth-strong' fires on growth > 15% — often requiring proactive decisions (inventory buildup, new hires, capital needs). The last detector is regulatory monitoring: Freja subscribes to updates from Retsinformation, the Danish Tax Agency and the Business Authority, and fires alerts when relevant legal changes affect your company's industry code.
Not a replacement for your accountant — but an extra watchdog
52 detectors run in the background of AdvisorGate every day without you thinking about them. They're not designed to replace your accounting system, accountant or sound judgement — they're designed to ensure no time-critical information is lost in the hustle. When Freja sends a notification, it's because a pattern matched your actual situation, not because an algorithm is trying to sell you something.

Can I disable specific detectors?
Yes. In AdvisorGate preferences you can enable or disable each of the 6 insight categories (Liquidity, Profitability, Debtor, Tax, Growth, Regulatory). Individual patterns within a category can't be disabled, but you can dismiss or hide concrete insights in the feed.
How often does Freja scan my data?
Standard scanning runs every 24 hours as a background job. Beyond that, an immediate scan triggers whenever an integration event arrives from one of the 6 financial gates (e.g. new invoice, payment received, budget updated). You'll typically see new insights within minutes of significant events.
What if two detectors fire simultaneously for the same problem?
Freja has a deduplication mechanism that checks if an active insight already covers the same source event (by TriggerEventId and category). If yes, the existing insight is updated instead of creating a new one — you only see one insight per unique problem.
